Excellent image quality in outdoor environments, impressive integrated microphone, easy to set-up and use

Average image quality in office environment, below average in dim lighting, little expensive

The Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 is a mid-range webcam that suffers from the same pitfalls as most mid-range cameras on the market. When the lighting is anything but optimal, the image quality suffers greatly.

Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000

The LifeCam VX-6000 offers quality video, easy setup, and a nice set of features, but its built-in mic disappoints.

Easy to set up and use. Works with all major instant-messaging clients. Includes pan, tilt, and zoom control.

Doesn't work consistently with every messaging client. Mic volume needs to be turned up high in order to pick up sound.
