Nikon Coolpix S200

Nikon's ultracompact Coolpix S200 offers a simple and straightforward interface and a good set of basic automatic photography options.

Slim and compact design. Simple, intuitive controls. Responsive operation.

Average photo quality. Mediocre lens. Advanced automatic features such as face detection and high-ISO mode are not terribly useful.

The S200 could be looked at as a Coolpix S500-lite, but that fails to recognise the excellent build and features that make the S200 an accomplished machine in its own right at a good price.
